This three week course is aimed to help you find clarity, purpose and to achieve long term success.

Too often we are driven by short-term targets and goals which lack in any longer-term meaning. This online course will ask you the questions to help you define your purpose, maximise your learning opportunities and to grow your connections to support you. This course exclusive to the Rising Network is delivered by Dr Cath Bishop, Author of 'The Long Win: The Search for a Better Way to Succeed'. The course draws out the fundamental principles from the book and will equip you to develop resilience and your leadership potential.

Cath draws on her careers as an Olympic rower and conflict diplomat, combined with her experience of working with a wide range of organisations across sectors to raise performance, transform cultures and develop effective leadership and teams. As an Olympic rower, Cath competed at three Olympic Games. Highlights include winning the World Championships in 2003 and an Olympic silver medal in 2004.

In this three week online course you will learn first-hand from Olympian, former diplomat, author and business coach, Dr Cath Bishop the three main principles from her book, 'The Long Win: The Search for a Better Way to Succeed.'

Module 1: Clarity

Held on: Tuesday 19th January 2021, 12:00 - 13:00 GMT

In this session we'll help you to clarify what matters, what drives you, and how that connects to your purpose and the wider contribution that you want to make. We'll look at how to redefine success in a way that relates to everyday life and the longer-term, and help you to develop a broader set of criteria by which to define success (Spoiler: it's not just about outcomes!)

Module 2: Constant Learning

Held on: Tuesday 26th January 2021, 12:00 - 13:00, GMT

In this session we'll look at how to develop a growth mindset so that you are open to all the learning opportunities that occur each day, and think about all the tools we have for learning, from feedback to coaching, from reflection to a marginal gains approach.

Module 3: Connection

Held on: Tuesday 2nd February 2021, 12:00 - 13:00 GMT

In this session we'll look at why transactional relationships don't deliver for us and how to connect at a deeper level. We'll also look at key figures in our network and think about how we might strengthen existing connections or reach out to make new ones who could bring value to what we do.

Each session will include a talk, exercises and group breakout sessions.
