The annual Southampton Business Expo will move to a new venue for 2021.

Last year the event was due to take place in November but was one of many events postponed by the organisers due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Basingstoke-based event planners B2B Expos told Hampshire Business News that the exhibition will now take place at the Hilton Hotel.

Matthew Larcome, founder and director of B2B Expos explained why he took the decision to move the event. He said: 'I know we're only moving from one side of a cricket pitch to the other, but the ballroom at the Hilton will provide visitors attending the event a better experience.'

'Instead of having the event spread out in different rooms, we will now be able to run the entire event in one room. We've also allowed for more space for visitors, to take into account people's expected nerves as they return to live events post-pandemic. People will want to feel relaxed and comfortable. Before Covid it was all about visitor numbers, but our focus now is on quality rather than quantity.'

The networking expo is a chance for companies of all sizes in Southampton to meet up, network and do business. As well as exhibition stands, the organisers are also planning multiple keynote speakers and speed networking sessions.

Major business organisations across the county support the expo including Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Institute of Directors, Federation of Small Business and Network My Club.

The business expo will now take place on its new rescheduled date on Thursday 25 November, at the Hilton Hotel (Ageas Bowl).
