MORE than £2.5 million in business was generated by Business for Breakfast (BforB) members in Staffordshire last year. The referral marketing organisation has now named Staffordshire as its most successful county. A year end survey of income for 2013 revealed members gained around £2,510,000 of business - compared to just over £1 million in the previous 12 months. BforB Staffordshire was launched with two groups in Stoke-on-Trent in April 2010, and quickly grew to incorporate groups in Stafford, Penkridge, Leek, Uttoxeter, Stone and Ladies Only groups in Stoke.

Expansion in 2013 has seen the establishment of a group at Vale Park, Burslem, second groups in Leek and Stone, a mid-morning meeting at the Staffordshire Technology Park, Stafford, a sector specific construction group at Newcastle-under-Lyme College, Ladies Only in Alsager and groups in the Rugeley and Lichfield area.

Marcos Clowes, regional director for BforB Staffordshire, said: "Trust develops between members and they then go out and sell their fellow BforB members' businesses to their wider network of contacts."

Already in 2014, over £3 million of new referrals and business opportunities have been referred by the members to each other in BforB groups across the county, making it a fantastic start to the year, and much more referral excitement to come.
