CherryPick is an informal monthly networking group for all connected to the Licensed Trade. Having run successfully in Birmingham and Reading for over 2 years we are now launching a new group in the Black Country West Midlands on 18th June.
A networking group designed especially for businesses working with the pub, hotel and restaurant industry is set to launch a new branch in the Black Country to help raise spirits in the licensing trade.
CherryPick has been running meetings highly successfully in Birmingham and Reading for some time, working exclusively with companies supplying the trade and those running venues, and is now hoping to spread the success further afield.
The inaugural meeting for the Black Country group is being held at Suki's Bar and Indian Restaurant in Walsall Road, Darlaston, on Tuesday, June 18, with support from local companies, Quality Solicitors Talbots, cleaning and catering product suppliers Swift Hygiene Ltd and Cannock-based The Marketing Room, who will also be providing on-going assistance to the group.
CherryPick director and licensing lawyer Peter Adkins, who organises CherryPick, said the idea behind the groups is to bring together quality suppliers and venues and help promote their services to each other.
"These are tough times for licensed businesses and in turn, the companies who supply them, so we came up with the idea of CherryPick to support and promote these companies and help match trusted suppliers to the businesses they want to work with," he explained.
"The inaugural meeting is open to any businesses supplying licensed premises - they can be anything from accountancy, interior design, building and fitting out, insurance through to wine, beer or food suppliers - the scope is vast. This group will be of interest to the whole supplier chain for licensed premises. The only requirement we have is that those attending have customers within the licensed trade or operate a venue.
"It will be very informal - a chance to meet other businesses in the sector and see if you think the group is for you.
"We help recommended businesses build new contacts and establish themselves as leading suppliers to the licensed trade - if this sounds like something which could help your business, please come along and find out more."
The first meeting at Suki's on June 18 will be from 5.30pm until 7, with future meetings held on a monthly basis.
