"The Young Entrepreneur of the Year" award is open to business owners aged 18-30 who have shown exceptional business acumen and achieved consistent business growth since launching their business product or service. City and Islington has been always supported the efforts of its pupils to aim high and succeed.

City and Islington College has set a standard for success as one of the country's largest and most successful providers of further education and training. Every year more than 3,500 young people and 10,000 adults successfully learn with the College. It offers an exceptionally wide range of courses at all levels from basic skills through to higher education.

Achievements include; an outstanding grade across every measure by Ofsted (June 2008); Beacon status by the Learning and Skills Council and the only Further Education College in the country to win the Queen's Anniversary Prize twice.

The College offers a range of training opportunities to meet the needs of both businesses and individuals. Our practical, work-based learning courses which include apprenticeships are tailored to meet the diverse needs of different industries. We also offer bespoke training programmes which identify and develop the particular skills required by individual businesses.

We also offer both a Gold and Silver Outplacement Response to Redundancy service to help relieve the burden of redundancy for businesses, and we provide training solutions for employees affected by redundancy in this uncertain economic climate.

With a range of recognnised professional qualifications offered such as Prince2® and ITIL, City and Islington College's professional development programmes are key to business success.
