The Business Womans Network recently celebrated its 2nd birthday with the author and Fleet Street Journalist Harriet Griffey as their guest speaker, with over 50 business women in attendance the opportunity to promote your business was high on the agenda with business stands, mini photo shoots, and of course the essential cake.

As the BWN enters its 3rd year it is clear that business growth is very much on the agenda.

"Our mission statement very much eptimises our tag line which is as passionate about your success as you are." Says Mandie Holgate the founder, "And we regularly get business women telling us that they did not realise how much we mean it."

The BWN started as a one venue event in North Essex and has now grown to 6 venues across East Anglia including a sales and marketing Mentoring club that is run with Mandie Holgate the founder of the BWN and Steve Clarke one of the UK's leading experts on Sales and Marketing.

What business women seem to love about the BWN is that their approach is very proactive without being pushy.

"The Businesswomans Network has been a breath of fresh air to the networking circuit in Essex (and beyond). I have attended lots of different groups around the county - some very formal, some very informal but with The BWN has got the balance just right.

Louisa Steel from Essex Business Libraries said "The networking opportunities are relaxed and friendly - ideal for the shy first-time networker - but also productive. The presentations are always relevant, useful and often very innovative."

Samantha Fricker added that thanks to being involved in the BWN they had seen a growth in sales and in one month a 35% increase in traffic to their website alone.

Not only are the local businesses benefiting from the BWN's approach to networking but international companies such as Mancroft International and Thomas International are also benefiting from an avenue to interact with businesses across this region.

Mancroft International's Annabelle Catchpole recently sais "If Carlsberg did networking it would look like The Business Woman's Network"

As the BWN becomes known for its business results the numbers at each event are steadily growing.

"What I love is that you can walk in to an event and expect to see 25 people you know and there are 50 business women in the room. And then another time there will only be 15 there meaning you can get to really learn from the amazing speakers that the BWN always have for us to learn from." Said Pavlenka Small from Small Steps to Success.

This year is no exception when it comes to amazing speakers with Ron G Holland topping the bill who has spoke around the world about business success even appearing on Oprah Winfrey's show.

It looks like The BWN is here to stay and local business women love it.
