Islington Chamber mentee named as one of the Future 100 Young Entrepreneurs for 2010

This Autumn the Islington Chamber of Commerce launched its business mentoring programme. The ICoC Business Mentoring programme has been developed to empower new, growing and established businesses to reach unlimited heights in their business potential.

This Autumn the Islington Chamber of Commerce launched its business mentoring programme. The ICoC Business Mentoring programme has been developed to empower new, growing and established businesses to reach unlimited heights in their business potential. Therefore it is with great pride that one of our mentees, Octavia Goredema founder and MD of the Twenty Ten Club, mentored by long-standing chamber member Atiti Sosimi of Distinctly Different has been named of the Future 100 Young Entrepreneurs of the Year. Atiti encouraged Octavia to enter the awards as part of her long term business branding goals within the mentoring programme.

Part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010, the Future 100 Awards recognise young entrepreneurs aged 18-35 years who are demonstrating entrepreneurial flair and innovation, pursuing economic, environmental and social goals to achieve ultimate business success.

The Twenty Ten Club is a social enterprise that aims to connect, support and inspire Black female entrepreneurs. Founded by Octavia Goredema of Canonbury, the Twenty Ten Club hosts networking events for members in central London. The organisation also profiles the success stories of leading Black business women online at www.twentytenclub.com.

Twenty Ten Club founder, Octavia Goredema said, "It's a real honour to be named as one of this year's Future 100 award winners.

"The Twenty Ten Club monthly events provide a platform for Black business women to connect, share resources, ideas and support one another. I continue to be amazed by the achievements of our members and I'm looking forward to launching more Twenty Ten Club programmes next year."
