Top entrepreneurs including the first winner of TV's The Apprentice will be offering advice and help at Islington Enterprise Fair on 18 March. Please mention the Islington chamber of commerce when registering for this event.
Tim Campbell, who triumphed on the BBC show, will give a keynote speech at the fair, which is organised by Islington Council together with The Bright Ideas Trust - the business support service founded by Tim - and Capital Enterprise.
Islington Enterprise Fair, which is aimed at people starting a business as well as established owners, offers the chance for people to meet successful local and national entrepreneurs and is the first of its kind in London.
Also appearing is Nick Jenkins, founder of online cards business Moonpig.com, who is taking part in a question-and-answer session.
The Enterprise Fair is free to Islington businesses and will also feature workshops on key business skills, networking opportunities, and the chance to find out more about support from business agencies and the council.
Tim Campbell said: "Promoting and supporting enterprise is key", and Nick Jenkins added: "I am glad to share my success story to inspire others".
Cllr Lucy Watt, deputy leader of Islington Council, said: "Islington's businesses are vital and the council is committed to supporting and encouraging them.
"This Enterprise Fair is part of our ongoing work and a great chance for businesses new and old to come and get advice and help about how to thrive.
"Also, it's a chance for those out of work to come and see how they can start up in business for themselves.
"The next Alan Sugar is out there - the Enterprise Fair can help point them in the right direction."
Islington Enterprise Fair is being held at the newly refurbished Islington Assembly Hall,next to the Town Hall in Upper Street, on 18 March from 9am-4pm.
