MORE than 90 local businesses attended a business networking event held at Hagley Golf & Country Club in support of the charity Homestart, Brierley Hill.

Event organiser Sophie Bullock, who works as a surveyor said "Charities can sometimes get forgotten when things are difficult so it makes sense that we should use our regular networking events to raise their profile. Homestart, Brierley Hill was an obvious choice for the business network because despite being a National charity it maintains very much a local focus."

The event held in June was a huge success and played host to an exhibition by 15 local businesses. "By using a range of business techniques, attendees get more from business networking" said sophie

With the launch of a second monthly event, the group will be holding a Business Breakfast Club at the Black Horse, Manor Way on Wednesday 24th June. Co-creator Alastair Brookes explains "we are finding that businesses networking has become popular again as companies of all sizes look for new ways to reach out to potential customers.

Encouraged by its early success, the group now has plans to roll out events across the region.

The group holds a number of free and paid for events and is keen to build partnerships with businesses and organisations in all sectors.
