Following the success of our first two conferences we are proud to present our 3rd Annual Women In Business Conference. The event this year will consist of three inspirational speakers in the morning, a networking lunch and then a series of workshops for delegates to choose from in the afternoon. The combination of motivation, building relationships and providing learning opportunities, truly reflects the ethos of the Socially Shared Business Support Network.

New for 2019 this years conference will see the introduction of an 'Author Interview' section of the event, with a panel of locally and nationally acclaimed women authors. Interviewed by BBC Journalist, TV and Radio Presenter Joanna Tidman, who has also agreed to be our MC for the third consecutive year. A book stand will also be available for delegates to visit and purchase copies of books written by our panel and other local women authors, some authors available for book signings throughout the event too.

There will be plenty of opportunities for networking, with a welcome drinks reception upon arrival, mid morning refreshments, hot and cold buffet lunch and then closing drinks with the speakers and workshop hosts at the end of the day. All delegates will receive a free souvenir gift upon arrival and a complimentary conference programme, so as to stay informed of speakers and workshop hosts and of the running order for the day. All this is included in the price of the ticket along with free onsite parking, so we are sure you will agree the ticket price offers exceptional value for money.

In addition to the main conference programme there will be the opportunity to make new contacts in the 'Connections Zone' where people can highlight particular businesses they are wanting to connect with, and / or needing products or services from. All delegates will be able to advertise their business for free during the event, by displaying their business card on our 'Building Contacts Wall'.

We do hope you will join us for this year's event to meet women in business from right across Warwickshire and the West Midlands and to share in what is an inspiring, informative and thoroughly enjoyable day!

Our speakers are...

Emma Woodward and Sam Yair - Following the difficult decision to close their Aspire Style stores in 2018, Emma and Sam have shown that it's okay to draw a line under one business venture when things don't work out, identify the learning opportunities and start positively with a new venture.

Marie Rowe - Worked with The Samuel Goldwyn Company and American Cinema Awards. Writing assistant to Barry Levinson on a comedy series for HBO TV and award-winning films as Good Morning, Vietnam and Rain Man. Actress, inspirational speaker, personal historian and writing tutor. Owner of Thanks For The Memoirs.

Sue Moorcroft - Sunday Times Best Selling Author of Contemporary Women's Fiction. Winner of the Best Romantic Read Award and Katie Fforde Bursary, nominated for a RoNA, Sue's a past vice chair of the RNA and editor of its two anthologies. Workshops There will be a choice of four workshops running during the afternoon and all delegates are able to attend the two workshops that are most relevant to them. These workshop choices need to be made at the time of booking your ticket and are available to select during the booking process. The workshops are being hosted by local businesses specialising in their field and the topics are;

Workshop 1 -

Presenting With Confidence - Whether it's a 60 second pitch, delivering a workshop or giving a talk, it takes an element of confidence to stand up and face an audience. This workshop provides top tips and guidance for overcoming your nerves and presenting with confidence.

Workshop 2 -

Take Control Of Your Diary - 'There are never enough hours in the day' is a phrase that we frequently hear, but do we actually need more hours in the day? This workshop explores ways that we can use our time more effectively, which in turn will have a positive impact on the way we manage our diary.

Workshop 3 -

The Stories We Tell Ourselves - Our mindset can be greatly influenced by the language we use, the messages we tell ourselves and in turn the way we behave. This workshop explores how positive stories can influence how we feel and the decisions we make.

Workshop 4 -

Social Media Stories - With social media marketing continuing to be a popular choice for small businesses, there is a real need to look for new ways to stand out from the competition. This workshop explores Instagram and Facebook stories and how they can be used to effectively reach your target audience.

Event Organised By

Socially Shared Business Network

www.sociallyshared.co.uk/

Socially Shared is a monthly business support network and member's club for women. We have networks in Alcester, Coventry, Kenilworth, Rugby, Solihull and Stratford upon Avon.

Our monthly meetings combine networking and learning with the opportunity to make new connections, gain support from others and take part in a mini workshop where a handout is provided.

Although there is a membership club, you do not have to join as a member, you can simply just pay as you go. We do not have a one seat policy and you can go to any of the network meetings, as time and business allows.

The network was founded by Karen Heap of Orchard Business Development and continues to be run by Karen along with a team of associates. In addition to the monthly network meetings there are also a variety of other special events that are held throughout the year, for example the annual Women In Business Conference.
