When you buy a new product or service, you are actually buying the means to change. When you buy a new outfit, you buy a new image for yourself; when you buy a gym membership, you are really buying a way to get fitter and stronger.
If we want someone to buy our products or services, we need to think about the change that they will need to go through in order to use it. How will they need to adapt their processes to make full use of the product?
For most people, change can be scary so when faced with buying a new product that forces them to change, people are likely to resist. This can make it very difficult to sell to them.
In this talk, I'll explain why change is difficult, why it is important to understand and how you can go about persuading someone to change so that they buy your product or service.
