This year, as part of remembrance activities to mark the end of the First World War - 48 injured soldiers & 96 cadets will take part in the Lord Dannatt's Round Britain Challenge. The cadets will work together on-board to sail from London to Edinburg on the Jubilee Sailing Trust's ship - Lord Nelson.

About Lord Dannatt

Lord Dannatt (General Francis Dannatt) is a retired senior British Army Officer and he was previously the Chief of the general staff. He is also a member of the House of Lords.

He was first commissioned into the Green Howards in 1971, and his first tour of duty was in Belfast as a platoon commander. During his second tour of duty, Dannatt was awarded the Military Cross.

Having suffered from a major stroke in 1977, Lord Dannatt considered leaving the Army however decided to stay through encouragement from his commanding officer.

Following this, he took on the role of company commander and eventually became in command of the Green Towards in 1989. Dannatt was given command of the 4th Armoured Brigade in 1994 and commanded the British component of the Implementation Force (IFOR) the following year.

He left his role as Chief in August 2009, forty years from when he first joined the British Army. In 2009, Queen Elizabeth II appointed him as constable of the Tower of London.

In his long-serving career, Lord Dannatt has since released an autobiography titled 'Leading from the Front' and is now a columnist for The Telegraph, hosts inspirational lectures on leadership and defence strategies.

He is a founder patron of Help for Heroes and lead the campaigns for the remembrance poppies in the moat.

Tickets will be £100 p/p and we there are only 50 tickets available. From 6pm to 8pm, Introbiz will be hosting an exclusive VIP after party event at Lookout Bar Cafe. Attendees can socialise and create valuable business connections, enjoy refreshments and a delicious food buffet provided by award-winning caterers - Spiros caterers.

The crew on board will change every 10 days in each capital city across the UK - London, Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff) where there will be a full day of celebration and remembrance. At the celebrations, attendees will have the opportunity to have a tour of the ship and take part in the festivities.

Introbiz are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a VIP social event at this year's Lord Dannatt's Round Britain Challenge Voyage when the Lord Nelson ship reaches Cardiff. The ship is due to port at Cardiff on the 23rd August 2018.
