NewbyCore Consulting Limited - The NewbyCore Breakfast Club (Midlothian) - January

We are excited to welcome you to the first NewbyCore Breakfast Club in Midlothian. Building on the success of our monthly networking event at Brewhemia in Edinburgh, we're bringing the popular Breakfast Club to The Paper Mill in Lasswade. With the slightly later start time of 9.00am, to enable working parents to attend after the school/nursery drop off, we hope this event will prove popular in the area. If so, we will look to hold it monthly.

We will have time for networking and breakfast on arrival until 9.45am, then we'll hear from our guest speaker. There will be time for a Q&A then we'll have more time for networking until 11am. [Please note the venue doesn't open until 9am].

The aim of our business Breakfast Club is to bring together the best speakers from across the country in a fun and informal environment, whilst at the same time allowing you time to network with like-minded professionals and creatives. You will be treated to a delicious light breakfast and refreshments, and all our events will feature additional free 'extras' such as massages, reiki and manicures from local businesses.

Guest speaker Kerrie Guiney, Owner of The Perfect Fit

Kerrie Guiney had worked in retail since leaving university, managing stores for the likes of Russell & Bromley and L.K. Bennett. However running a shop of her own was the ultimate dream, one that became reality in May of this year with the opening of The Perfect Fit in the market town of Peebles in the Scottish Borders.

As a mum herself , Kerrie has experienced many a stressful shopping trip with young children. For this reason she wanted The Perfect Fit to provide a comprehensive offer under one roof combined with a relaxed atmosphere and top customer service.

As a fully trained shoe fitters with over 20 years experience, Kerrie provides that rare service of a full fitting experience for babies upwards. In terms of children's wear the shop offers bright, often organic pieces for boys and girls. Plus ,to keep the stock fresh and exclusive Kerrie only carries one of each size.

Kerrie recently won an award for 'Best New Business in the Scottish Borders' and she has already achieved a regular customer base with customers travelling as far as Glasgow to her shop. With her popularity growing quickly since she has opened, the shop is going from strength to strength and is definitely one to look out for.

Kerrie will be sharing her journey in setting up her dream business, challenges she overcame along the way and sharing her advice to business owners.
