About this meeting

This is the second online event organised by Women inspiring women a group created by Wendy Maisey OBE and Val Allen MBE, JP and Tricia Peters JP

We will aim to keep the meetings inside one hour with a maximum of 15 minutes added for those who want further discussions and you will receive an Agenda beforehand. When everybody 'arrives' there will be a very quick round the online room just name, and business. I have asked Nikki Barraclough of Prevent Breast Cancer to say a few words on behalf of the charity and then depending on numbers, we will breakout into rooms of 6-7 for 15-20 minutes for 'round table networking'. We then come back into the 'room' and hear from our guest speaker followed by Q & A discussions. I will also send out the list of attendees to all attending.

Outside of her Legal Career Sally works tirelessly to improve equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels of society, nationally and internationally. Is passionate about improving Gender Diversity in the work place.

Sally is an experienced Keynote Speaker, trainer and facilitator chairing several high profile events.

Sally also specialises in Data protection breaches and GDPR. She is contributor to forthcoming book Cyber security published by Bloomsbury.

Sally also Lectures extensively. Delivering seminars and lectures as part of the CPD program to solicitors as well as speaking as Keynote Speaker and Visiting Lecturer at various Universities including University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University Bar Professional Training Course and Salford University. She has tutored for various private organisations including Kaplan Altior, Delivering high quality training to Solicitors and trainee solicitors and Barristers.

Sally is an (ATC) Advocacy Training Counsel approved trainer for Middle Temple and the Northern Circuit. Highlighting her Excellence in advocacy.

In her Employment Law practice, she has Direct Public Access and she conducts a variety of cases. Appearing regularly in Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeal Tribunal hearings and undertakes variety of written work such as the drafting of Contracts of Employment, Compromise Agreements etc with an emphasis on Sex Discrimination.

Outside of her busy practice, Sally has significant Board experience as a NED sitting on various Boards Public and Private. She is a Qualified Mediator and Arbitrator for International work.

Networking hour online has been established during lockdown and until we are able to safely meet in person will continue. This meetings are strictly an hour, with 10 minutes for guest speaker and plenty of time in breakout rooms to replicate the round table networking we did in person.
