Northwich Women in Business - Northwich Women in Business November Networking Lunch

We are delighted to announce our feature speaker for the 15th November women in business event is Jo Hamilton, Tax Manager at Howard Worth Chartered Accountants.

Jo is a Chartered Tax advisor, with over 20 years of experience in accountancy and tax. Her presentation will focus on Making Tax Digital. #MTD is a new system that the government is implementing to transform the Tax system by making changes to how business and individuals record their tax. MTD starts in April 2019 for businesses who are VAT registered with a turnover above £85k. Jo will explain what changes are being made and how to prepare for these.

Northwich Women in Business was set up by Howard Worth more than 15 years ago and today has more than 600 members.

The group, which is open to women in business in the Cheshire area - from sole traders to women working in a professional organisation or within a larger company holds a two-hour, bi-monthly lunch meeting, designed to bring members together to network and build constructive relationships that can benefit their businesses.

Group meetings, which attract around 40-60 attendees, feature a guest speaker and are usually held at Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club in Northwich, although other venues are used.

The events also include informal networking, members' business stands, facilitated networking and a short "spotlight" slot, in which a member gives an update on their business to the group.

There is no membership fee for Northwich Women in Business. Instead, group members simply pay for each event they attend.
