LinkedIn training course for professionals - learn how to utilise LinkedIn for professional success

Are you signed up to LinkedIn and not using it regularly to build your business?

Perhaps you aren't attracting the right connections and your LinkedIn efforts are failing to produce the returns you'd hoped for?

During this day-long, interactive course, you will learn how to use LinkedIn within a professional and business context. Building on real-life examples, we'll take a detailed, expert look at this invaluable marketing and networking tool.

A few of the things that we will cover during the course are:

Connections - how to effectively reach out to new connections on LinkedIn, and how to respond to a connection request from someone else.

The mobile app - tips for using LinkedIn "on the go", and we'll also explore the app's latest features that will help you to build your network.

Engagement on LinkedIn - how to make the most of the LinkedIn newsfeed, and we'll discuss the differences between a "like", "comment", and "share".

Content - how to create content that promotes your business and how to find that important balance between self-promotion and promoting others.

Endorsements and recommendations - "what goes around comes around" …how to ask for, and give, recommendations and endorsements.

Imagery - how to re-inforce your unique brand with a LinkedIn banner, why a professional profile photograph is so important, and how to increase engagement by using the right images.

Premium accounts - should you consider upgrading?

Blogging - you'll be asked to prepare and bring along a draft blog of your own. We'll discuss the essential rules of effective LinkedIn blogging and the key elements of a successful LinkedIn blog post. You'll then get a chance to put what you've learnt into practice, attach those all-important 'tags' and publish your most compelling blog to date.

How to find the right groups to join, how to target your content within a particular group and how to create your own group on LinkedIn.

Your Social Selling plan of action - how to turn a connection into a client.

The role of a LinkedIn company page and the etiquette, best practices and insider secrets of LinkedIn.

You will be provided with lunch and have enough time to start networking and building connections with other attendees.

What our delegates say:

"I attended a training course that Rachel did on LinkedIn. Rachel is extremely knowledgeable and is able to share her knowledge clearly. The training course was easy to follow, we were able to implement her tips and I came away with clear steps to follow. I would highly recommend attending one of Rachel's training courses."

Dale Campbell, European Trademark Attorney.

"Rachel is not only a fantastic LinkedIn trainer but she is also excellent at networking and bringing people together. I recently attended one of Rachel's training courses which put me in touch with someone completely unrelated to my industry. This connection turned into a successful sales lead which won me business. I would highly recommend attending one of Rachel's training courses."

About your trainer, Rachel Tombs:

Until 2015, I was enjoying working as a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor, with more than 15 years' experience behind me. Because I thrived on connecting with, and investing time in developing relationships with potential and existing clients, I was consistently asked to take on additional Business Development roles within many of the Law Firms in which I was employed.

I started using LinkedIn as a tool for business and network growth and I quickly realised its untapped potential for everyone within the professional services industry and beyond. I used LinkedIn whilst in practice to keep in contact with existing and future clients, key influencers and business associates- and I saw the results. There was a noticeable increase in enquiries into each of the practices, referrals were made by existing clients and lasting business opportunities and relationships were forged.

Since then, I have worked with hundreds of professionals and businesses, to help them build and manage their LinkedIn (and other social networking) profiles.
