Blackpool Expo founder is finalist at North West's largest women business awards

The organiser of Blackpool Business Expo has been named as a finalist at the North West's largest women in business awards.

Nichola Howard, 38, started Launch Events North West three years ago to showcase businesses through regional business exhibitions- with Blackpool Expo being her flagship event.

The businesswoman has been shortlisted in the Enterprise Vision Awards Small Business of the Year category and is one of 109 shortlisted candidates who will bid for fifteen top gongs through interviews and public voting, before the winners are announced on September 29.

Nichola said "It is an honour to be shortlisted after three years of growing the business from home. I am absolutely delighted and hope people will vote for us."

"Being your own boss can certainly be a rollercoaster but this Autumn will definitely be a highlight with our biggest event of the year, Blackpool Expo, and the EVA awards ceremony being held in the same week- closely followed by our first ever Preston Digital Expo."
