Why moms make great networkers

Moms are amazing networkers, not only because they like sharing, and they are great at multi-tasking, but also because they have a natural empathy and a nurturing nature, that means they are always willing to help and listen. In networking, one of the key indicators is to go into a relationship wanting little else, but to serve the other person and in return, get rewarded for this through generating business leads.

Moms are natural networkers

It is not unusual to find a mom multi-tasking between grocery shopping, coordinating their kids activities, picking up and dropping off kids at school, managing emails, going to meetings. In a nutshell moms are constantly creating, doing and being.

As we all know, networking is the bread and butter of any business. Unless you talk and share, you can't convert products into sales. Moms of course, love to share their experiences and in return, learn from other moms and their experiences. This sharing may start off on a personal level and through building a relationship of trust, there is a natural inclination for this to spread to work related things. With their natural urge for sharing, and being good multi-taskers moms are also good at letting other moms know about what works and what doesn't.

In a nutshell, being a mom equals being a good networker. It's about getting into the game and not being afraid to get their hands dirty, multi-tasking, and of talking, lots of talking and more talking. There is of course a fine line between talking and sharing and listening and internalizing. Moms have this strange way of finishing their children's sentences, speaking up for them and laying down rules or giving instructions. As a networker, the exact opposite is applicable. It is about giving the other person time to talk, getting rid of any expectations, trying not to enforce which direction the conversation goes.

Well done to all of those moms who are spinning in circles, getting a million things done at once and who still find the time to network.
