BUSINESS GIVE OR TAKE DAY

27th January 2011

Businesses in Islington are being given an opportunity to have an office spring clean in 2011, giving their unwanted items such as chairs, desks, and stationery a new home at a local charity or small business.

The Business Give or Take Day is the first of its kind in London and aims to divert over 10 tonnes of reusable office items from landfill and incineration, ensuring their continued use by organisations that need them the most.

Items able to be donated include good quality office chairs, desks, filing cabinets, stationery (unused reams of paper, pens, folders, file dividers etc), computers, printers, office telephones and business books.

The deadline for donating items and for registering to attend the FREE event is 5pm on 21st January 2011.

To donate or register contact Clare Matheson, Project Officer, Islington Chamber of Commerce.
