Lanarkshire Business Hub - Lanarkshire Business Hub Networking Breakfast

Lanarkshire Business Hub would like to invite you to a Business Networking Breakfast being held at Energy Technology Centre, East Kilbride, where John Bingham, Director at Energy Technology Centre will give a short talk on "Reducing the carbon footprint of an industrial property - a case study."

After John's presentation there will be a chance to go on a short tour of the premises and see a demonstration of some of the projects currently being worked on.

Energy Technology Centre is at the forefront of new developments in renewable energy. This local engineering company, which has both facilities and analytical capability, undertakes development of new technology in the wind energy, marine power and low carbon heat sectors and has clients across the world. Recent projects include research into offshore wind turbine blade erosion, redesign of small wind turbines for remote communities, trials of a novel wave power system and development of low emission thermal power plant. ETC has also recently refurbished its property to create a low carbon exemplar building with reduced energy demand and renewable energy supply and details of this project will be presented.

Please note this event is taking place in a working lab. Ladies are advised to wear appropriate footwear for the tour, which may involve walking on uneven surfaces and open metal grating.
