The format is then:

- '4Sight' talk/presentation (not a business pitch!)

- the three 1-2-1 meetings

- close at 10.00 sharp, though people are welcome to linger if they wish

4Networking is a national business networking organisation with more than 5000 meetings taking place in the UK every year. Members can network locally, regionally and even nationally - as a 'passport' member you are not tied to one specific group.

There is also a very popular online forum where you can find (and offer) advice and business information, with over 50,000 other UK members.

The meetings are relaxed, fun and friendly - great for building long-lasting business relationships. They run from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and each group meets fortnightly.

At each meeting you are guaranteed to get three ten minute 1-2-1 meetings: these are an integral part of the 2 hour meeting. So you can establish if there are areas of common interest there and then, rather than depend on good intentions to fix a follow-up 1-2-1 sometime in the future.

Each meeting starts off with informal open networking. There is a 40 second round for each attendee to introduce themselves to everyone else in the room. After the 1-2-1 appointments are set up there is a short '4Sight' talk or presentation by a member on something of interest (not a pitch for their business!). Then the three 1-2-1 appointments take place.

So there is a well thought out structure to the meetings, yet without sacrificing the 'unstuffy', fun aspect which helps set 4N apart from some other business networking groups. There are no forced referrals and no compulsory attendance.
