Urbano is London's leading independent business networking community, connecting companies in London, the UK and beyond. Our growing network is made up of over 5,000 members and associates, from PLC to SMEs, across communities including Build, Media, Finance, People, Health and Tech. Urbano combines quality business networking events in central London with unique online networking tools to help companies off all sizes, sectors and status to meet, create contacts, make connections, build lasting relationships and develop new business opportunities.

Urbano Tech is a community of companies who develop mobile applications, digital platforms and projects including websites and back-end CMS systems, to those who offer specialist and support services in IT, cloud and workplace systems. Many of our members offer hardware and software solutions and applications in VR, AR, animation, modelling, and CAD. Our Tech community also includes those who are looking for next step investment to develop new products or solutions.

On Thursday October 26th we host an Urbano Tech/Finance speaker event with special guest Kent Teague. Kent is the Managing Partner of Gold Creek Capital, a private equity firm based in Dallas, Texas, that invests in entrepreneurial, emerging growth companies. Since the 1990s he has had extensive experience in developing and investing in technology businesses, and more recently became the Principal Investor and Vice-Chairman of Leyton Orient Football Club in East London.

Kent will look at how and why US investors look for the next unicorn in tech. This will be an exceptional chance to hear directly from a successful tech investment entrepreneur and give your own business - tech, digital, software or other - the best approach to attract investors.
