Westminster Business Council - Female Leaders in Politics with Baroness Hayman

Come and join us for another fantastic Women of Westminster Event.

Baroness Helene Hayman was Lord Speaker of the House of Lords in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. As a member of the Labour Party she was a Member of Parliament from 1974 to 1979, and became a Life Peer in 1996.

In 2006, she won the inaugural election for the newly created position of Lord Speaker.

Baroness Hayman will talk to WBC about her experience in politics and give hints and tips for our ladies about how to get on in a turbulent world. This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear in a supportive environment about the challenges of women in politics but also how to be successful despite those barriers.

Her comments will inspire not only women in the political arena but also business women who want to continue breaking barriers and reach top positions.
