Netwalking - a breath of fresh air for Networking!

If you are feeling a bit bored of your usual networking events or perhaps feel you have eaten one cooked breakfast too many then maybe it’s time to try something different!

Netwalking events are one such possibility, as the name suggests they combine networking with walking. Typically an event consists of a walk at a local beauty spot followed by refreshments at a suitable pub or cafe. Walks will vary in length so there will usually be something to suit all fitness levels and tastes..

Many business owners have concerns that they aren’t getting enough exercise and perhaps spend too much time at their desks. The great thing about netwalking is that not only does it get you out of the office and active but it helps you to promote your business at the same time, a no brainer!

Gavin Tosh of Netwalking Scotland has been organising Netwalks around Central Scotland for several years and has seen his groups grow hugely in popularity in this time, Gavin says

But those who try netwalking know that it is not only enjoyable and good for you but also can be easily the most effective form of business networking at the same time. And you can take the dog!"

Due to the relaxing nature of netwalking the events are naturally de-stressing and can help you clear your mind and stimulate new ideas. Some of the best business relationships are built in informal settings where the focus is away from work, what better than a stroll in the countryside to get to know someone and potentially build new friendships.
