Networking Group Profile: Business Breakfast Group - Womens Business Network

What is your Networking Organisation called?

Business Breakfast Group: Womens Business Network

How long has the organisation been running events?

4 years

Where do you run your events and how frequently?

Warrington Breakfast meetings once per month

Crewe & Nantwich Breakfast meetings once per month

Womens Business Network lunches are held once per quarter in both Warrington and Crewe and Nantwich

Briefly describe your events?

Business Breakfasts follow the same format, registration, informal networking, followed by round table networking each table with a host to direct this. There is always a guest speaker and a business card raffle to end.

The Womens Business lunches follow a similar format but usually have a charity raffle and stalls with goods on display of some of the small businesses present.

What do you think makes your events different?

First of all there are no membership/joining fees, just PAYG. We are generously supported by sponsors who help to avoid this. A great deal of time is spent making sure delegates are not placed with someone in the same category of business or on the same table if they attended last month. You should come along because I can offer you the opportunity to build relationships with key decision makers and a great variety of businesses and people. You will be assured a warm welcome.

What kinds of businesses attend your events?

Wide variety from professional, financial services, banking, SME’s from start ups to businesses up to several million turnover.

What is your top tip for people attending your events?

Networking is about building trust in you as a person and your business or products. People buy from people they like. Be genuinely interested in people and listen to what other businesses are looking to achieve with a view to introducing them to someone who can help.

Pick up new ideas that you can use in your own business and give credit where it is due, and the rewards will come back tenfold. Golden rule, if you take someone’s business card do follow up!
