Networking Group Profile: Vibrant Network

What is your Networking Organisation called?

Vibrant Network

How long has the organisation been running events?

The first Vibrant Network group started in Redditch in November 2012.

Where do you run your events and how frequently?

We currently have 20 groups and are growing quickly since launching as a franchise in September 2013. Most of our groups are Midlands based but more and more are starting to pop in other locations around the country.

Briefly describe your events?

Vibrant is very different to the norm in business networking. Our groups have a heavy focus on personal development and finding out more about the person behind the business first. Attendees are encouraged to speak from the heart and not from a script. Everyone gets the opportunity to talk for a couple of minutes (if they choose to) about their business, their background and how the group can help them. At each meeting one attendee also gets to stand at the front of the room and tell their 'life story' (no one is forced to do this, it's optional). They talk unscripted with no visual aids about the roller coaster ride of life and how they arrived at where they are in business today - and very importantly their WHY. Telling these personal stories really helps to build emotional connections between members of the group - and guess what? the business then starts to flow.

The final part of the meeting is an open forum where we talk about a business or personal development topic.

Members of Vibrant Network can attend any of our Vibrant Network meetings. There is no obligation to attend every local meeting. There is no pressure on you to do anything at Vibrant Network, just come along when you can and meet some truly amazing people.

What do you think makes your events different?

Vibrant Network groups are 'real', raw and emotional. They are not right for everyone, but for the right people they are a safe environment where you can be the 'real' you, build long lasting relationships, make friends, get loads more business and build on your personal development and business skills.

What kinds of businesses attend your events?

It's mainly small businesses who currently attend our meetings. Some larger businesses do attend and we also attract employed people. Everyone is welcome!

What is your top tip for people attending your events?

Take off your business mask and just be yourself! You can't get being yourself wrong :-)
