Sustainabilty?

I read with interest 'The Final Word' in the Spring/Summer WiRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) magazine. Hel?ne Leichter-Saxby reflected on the dichotomy of sustainability and what 'The 'S' Factor' (as she calls it) really means for women today.

Her article resonated deeply with me, as I considered the many different roles I undertake as a woman; mother, daughter, entrepreneur, employee, friend, home-maker etc.

I wonder how many others there are out there who find it nigh-on impossible to schedule in personal time to permit us to sustain and nurture ourselves and to explore and discover 'the real me' whoever she is.

We do all need this time, whether it is for a walk in the park, soak in the bath, indulge in a book or maybe if we are really lucky, to maybe schedule a massage. We cannot keep giving out to others effectively if we do not recharge our personal batteries. I have found that taking time to develop my creative side extremely beneficial, I can shut off from my 'to do' list and just be.

I would be very interested to hear how others manage to find 'me' time in their lives.
